A good idea There are more and more self-employed workers out there, which means that 1) businesses make more profit by subcontracting part or all of their operations and 2) a growing number of people like the idea of being their own boss. The HHR Panel is a nice combination of retro and modern styling. Not matter the reasons, certain fields of activity require workers to use more than one vehicle. Delivery companies are a prime example.

Whitaker Chevrolet closes today

Buick Chevrolet dealership at 5 p.m. today, chances are good there will be a tear in his eye as he locks it for the last time. The final day of business comes two years short of a century of car deals with residents from four counties.

Car giant Chevrolet races to sponsor city’s 2008 marathon

Car giant Chevrolet will back the race after getting involved on a smaller scale last year, joining a large team of sponsors which includes the Evening News. They will back the Hairy Haggis Team Relay, which allows people to jog a section of the course with friends without completing the arduous full marathon distance.

Chevrolet Volt’s aero efficiency

This teaser image shows the latest incarnation of the Chevrolet Volt electric car. The Volt is powered by a battery which can be charged by a tiny on-board engine if necessary. Although the picture gives little away, it shows a significantly more aerodynamic car than the original concept vehicle. Work in GM’s wind tunnel in Michigan, USA, is reported to have reduced the Volt’s drag by 30%, making it around 7% more energy-efficient.

Chevrolet to launch new models

Meanwhile, for autumn 2008, the carmaker has high hopes for a remodelled Malibu. Attempting to regain the good reputation the model once had as a rival of the top-selling Toyota Camry, Chevrolet hopes the new Malibu s design will wipe out memories of the heavily criticised 1990s versions. In order to reinforce its family-orientated image, the new model has beefed up on safety features.

A leap forward With Twisted Sisters on full blast (you know, We’re Not Gonna Take It ) and its occupants trying their best to sing along, the Chevrolet Malibu is driving down Road 101 in the heart of California. Inside, two Canadian journalists (including yours truly) are accompanied by Chris Hay, Marketing Director for the new Malibu — and quite a good vocalist, I must confess. The highly anticipated 2008 Malibu will soon arrive in showrooms.

Chevrolet Volt development moves forward with focus on aerodynamics

2009 Chevrolet Camaro

The 2009 Camaro is based on GM’s global rear-wheel-drive architecture, which also underpin’s Holden’s VE Commodore range of cars, so testing Down Under is no big surprise. Neither is seeing the Camaro running with Ford Mustangs . It’s just proof that Chevrolet has the Ford coupe directly in its sights.
