Chevrolet Aveo Three-Door

(Mon 18 Feb 08) Three months before the five-door Chevrolet Aveo five-door supermini make its debut on the UK market, it has been confirmed that a three-door version will join it in June. The three-door Aveo will be officially revealed at next month’s Geneva Show. Built in Poland, it uses an 83bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine and has a CO2 rating of 132g/km, which puts it in VED Band C ( 120 annual car tax). More details, including UK pricing, will be announced in the next few weeks.

Chevrolet and Tween Heartthrobs Tie Up in Live Green Future Event

The “Chevy Rocks the Future” event at Walt Disney Studios today will “celebrate promises…to preserve the environment.” The Tahoe two-mode hybrid SUV will be there, too. The Jonas Brothers, who have toured with “Hannah Montana” and appeared on the smash hit TV series, will perform and will surely mention to the audience that they have their own Tahoe Hybrid.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Chevrolet has entered the world of super cars with the release of the 2009 Corvette ZR1, the fastest and most powerful car ever built by General Motors. Sub-4-second 0-to-60 mph runs and top speed of more than 200 mph are possible because of the supercharged 6.2-litre LS9 V-8 that produces at least 620 horsepower.

Chevrolet to launch the new Aveo 3-door at the Geneva Auto Show

In Europe the car will be built in Chevrolet’s new production facility in Warsaw, Poland. This facility is about to begin full-scale production of the Aveo, a model expected to become Chevrolet’s best-selling model line across Europe.

Powered by 82bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine This is the three-door Chevrolet Aveo supermini, which will go on sale in September. It follows in the footsteps of the five-door model, which goes on sale in May. Although based on the same underpinnings as the Kalos that it replaces, the Aveo has been thoroughly reworked, with new exterior styling, interior trim and engine.

The newcomer will join the five-door Aveo that arrives in May, while the three-door will arrive the following month. Chevrolet’s new production facility in Warsaw, Poland, is about to begin full-scale production of the Aveo, which is expected to become Chevrolet’s best-selling model line across Europe over the next 12 months. Power will come from a 1.2-litre engine developing a 82bhp, with CO2 emissions of 132g/km.

Chevrolet Recalls 2006-08 HHRs

General Motors will begin a recall of 181,516 Chevrolet HHR wagons not equipped with optional roof rail airbags in March because they don’t meet the federal government’s standards for protecting occupants from head injury in the event of a crash. The vehicles in the recall were sold between 2006 and 2008.

GM issues recall of Chevrolet HHR wagons

General Motors is issuing a recall of over 181,000 Chevrolet HHR wagons. GM found that some of the vehicles don’t meet government standards for protecting occupants from head injury in a crash. The company said HHRs not equipped with optional roof rail-mounted airbags and sold between 2006 and 2008 failed GM’s side-impact tests. GM says the recall will begin in late March, when the parts become available. The company will send out notification letters to customers.
