The all-new Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid is the first-ever hybrid version of Chevy’s popular pickup. Like the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, Silverado will feature an innovative, fuel-saving 2-mode hybrid system that should produce approximately a 25% improvement in fuel economy in combined city/ highway driving. Electric motors and batteries supplement the power produced by the standard 6.0-liter V-8 engine which can operate in standard 8- or fuel-saving 4-cylinder mode.

Both 2- and 4-wheel drive versions will be offered.
