As with the Escalade hybrid and the Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid (which we recently tested and generally enjoyed), the Silverado hybrid is a full (two-mode) hybrid. As such, it is able to get on with electric power up to 30 mph or gasoline or a combination of both.

-->DETROIT General Motors has announced that the price of the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUV will start just over $50,000. The two-wheel-drive version of the full-size SUV will be priced at $50,490, including a $900 destination charge. The four-wheel-drive version will cost $53,295, also including destination. GM says approval of a federal tax credit for the hybrid SUVs is pending.
